After bottom doubling

Waterdog was in a bit of a sorry state but at least the bottom had been doubled and painted. She had lain in York for many years as Student accomodation without maintenance and repair. She was towed to Goole to be scrapped at Viking yard but Lorna bought her and had the bottom worked on before moving her into her corner berth in Timber pond. The wheelhouse was rotting and leaking and the roof leaked in 8 places but there was enough left to live in, even if the only heat was from a single coal stove. The engine had been disconnected from fuel and electrics so hadn't run in at least 6 years. What made Lorna buy her? who knows, but it could be a great project! The accomodation for the working days was still in the bow section but the rest was 1970's. There was a chocolate brown corner bath in the main bedroom with purple bidet and pink sink (non of this was operational). There was a 20ft mirror behind the bed, dark mahogany look panelling throughout and a spiral staircase up into the wheelhouse. Lovely.
